Magnolia's challenge this week was quite hard for me because I love lots of colour on my cards....there challenge was vintage....I've also entered this card in Cute Card Thursdays challenge which is mono(used different shades of grey)..I don't tend to use much grey in my card making so this was a first for me....
the card stock is bazzil love making this style of card think it makes the design more interesting...the image I've used quite a bit especially for my christmas cards....she was coloured in with tim holts distressing pad (black soot) i rubbed some on an acrylic block then used a brush to water colour her in....had to add a bit of bling this was done by adding a small charm from my stash.....and of course couldn't resist by adding a touch of colour with some card candy by craftwork cards....the sentiment is from a set by hero arts(dont remember the name)...this is a first for me I've never entered the same card in for 2 challenges....thanks for stopping by and looking feel free to leave a comment......

ReplyDeleteYour card is great - you've done a wonderful job for the 'olden day' theme - the charm is so sweet.
ReplyDeleteCatherine, thanks for your nice comment on my blog. Your card is so sweet. I love the easel card, and yours is so nicely done. The little pop of pink is a nice touch, and I too love the heart charm. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour card is very sweet, and you did a great job with the color challenge. When my son was 4 he asked me if there was color when I was a child. Your card reminded me of his question. He then asked, when was color invented! I guess he looked at me as vintage too :-)
ReplyDeleteWOnderful job with the challenge..
