Hi everyone hope you all had a great christmas...mine was brill....as the girls are older didnt have to get up as early 8am a resonable hour lol....i've decided before i pack my christmas stamps,paper etc away i'll make some more cards then i'm infront for next year...i'm now able to post to my blog from anywhere in the house as santa brought me a netbook it's fantastic....the other disapointment before christmas was my new toy sizzix expression just stopped working...the shop where i bought it from has been amazing and has phoned sizzix and a new one is on it's way.....will have to borrow my big shot back from my crafting friend as she has borrowed it as her's has broken...hopefully it'll get mended then i'll put my big shot up for sale...electric express so much easier to use as i've problems with my hand turning the handle...i've signed up for my first rak on the cricut website....you have to make 25 layered cuts using the alphabet excluding 'x' the person who makes the best of them wins a cartridge for the cricut hope it's me lol.....will post 2 or 3 on my blog when finished as i want to save the rest for the recipent..bye for now...HAPPY NEW YEAR....

Another Halloween Album

My crafting buddie after looking at my halloween book asked me if I could make one for here so she could scrapbook her daughters halloween book...I made it slightly different from the original and choose to make it tall...It took a bit more working out about the binding but I got there in the end....It was made with the design studio using accent essentials for the square shapes and paper doll dress up for the the halloween items..the ribbon is from my stash..the papers are bo bunny and the card stock is bazzil(I find it gives the best results when used with my cricut)...the fancy edge for the mat was made using a new punch I bought that is from martha stewert...

The coffin was made in the design studio I welded 2 together and flipped 1 so they would meet up and it was cut out so it was abled to been opened...I placed a skeliton on one half and the other was made so she could add some writing....

The tags where made in bags tags and boxes and they where placed in an oversized trick or treat bag and she can add photo's to them or journaling..

These cards where made using my new big shot express...I cut out the scalloped background using nestabilities they work a treat.....only took a second glad I bought it.....the polar bear stamp is from a company called Littles Claires they have some amazing stamps take a look on there web site they also have some examples to give you soom great ideas.....I've coloured the stamp in with my promarkers.....the raindeer card is made die cutting a sizzlet die I got some time ago.....first time I've used it think it goes great with the striped paper this is by daisy and dandelion....I now like to make the inside of the cards just as nice as the outside using the same papers or contrasting papers the greetings on the inside are stampes with great impressions and cut out with nestabilities.....thanks for looking will post some cards later....lots more still to make...I've nearly finished my christmas shopping thankgoodness....love christmas but always lots to do at the last minute....

New Crafting Toy

my local craft shop has had a sale today me and my crafting friend have been and I've bought myself an early Christmas Pressie a Big Shot Express
all I can say is WOW!!!...although I've got a cricut I still love my big shot but was having problems using it....the express is amazing cuts spellbinders in a trice(need loads of circles and scallopes to make christmas cards....normally set the girls on cutting them out LOL!!!)the craft shop had loads of things at half price....papers.....ribbon....some sizzix dies....spent up.....bought some lovely papers to make christmas cards with will post later when I've made some more cards.....

Christmas cards

Here are a few pictures of the cards I've been asked to create for a friend for her family for christmas.....Really love the shaped card it was cut on the cricut from the wild card cart.....The papers that are used are various from my stash.....The stamped images are the new ones out from magnolia love there image....they are coloured in with promarkers.....the other stamped images are various ones I've got in my stash and cant tell you who they are by sorry!!!!.....enjoy looking......off now to make some more cards for tommorrow for the girls to send to their friends need about 25 each yikes!!!!... and need to make some for the family.....will post some more cards tomorrow ......

Mojo Monday

This is the card I came up with from the sketch at mojo mondays I think it worked ok hope you like it....The paper is from american crafts.... the bells where cut out with the cricut and the christmas cheer ......I cut a few layers then layered them up with silicon glue.....thanks for watching

Christmas

Can't believe it it's the first of December today and I'm behind with making my Christmas cards will really have to crack onto in the next 2 days..... will post later the cards I've made what with work and kids time is short.

Christmas Book

Ohhhhh you say not another book.......A friend looked at the halloween book and she thought it was great......so I made her a christmas book so she could scrap photo's of her daughter......I delivered it this morning and she was very pleased.......love to make things for other people......the santas sleight was placed on a page that was made of acetate......the back is placed on the other side and was left blank so she could write something on it.....the rest of the book was made with the christmas cart and the christmas cheer cart...it was made on the design studio.....the paper's are a mixture of bo bunny and the red spots and stripes are some that I saw hobbycraft are are forever friends and the ribbon and charms are from my own stash......thanks for looking......

Scrapbooking

My other hobby that runs along side my love of card making and altered art is scrapbooking.I am at the moment trying to (very hard) get my scrapbooks into some kind of date order....not easy to say the least...but it's coming along nicely...long way to go.....Thought I would post a few of the pages that I have made....gives you an idea...hope they will inspire you to have ago.....You dont need anything complicated to start with......plain card and a few photo's and off you go....There are plenty of web sites to go to for insperation......just google it....Thanks for looking.....

Card Challenge BBTB

I made this card in response to the card challenge on a site I visit regulary called bitten by the bug you had to use a least one cut with the  cricut and use the colours red and green this is what I came up with.The shape that I used for the layering is off the storybook cart,the paper was last years DCWV and the sentiment is by woodware and so is the image. It was coloured in with my promarkers.

Mojo Monday

This card is inspired by the sketch above from the mojo mondays blog and the card is my interpritation of this.Thought I would make a birthday card for a change.At the moment seem to always be making christmas cards lol!!!!

The paper's are basic grey(they have some fab designs out for christmas) and the stamp is woodware.The tag was stamped with " just right" stamp set(the just right stamp set are amazing and they fit great with nestabilities) and cut out with spellbinders nestabilities!!!

Craft Room

Hi everyone just thought I would post a few pictures of my craft room(it is also my hubbys office space we share).The space needs a bit more work and I need some more shelves above my computer,but other than that it's ok.Need to have a move around thought,hubby going to put me a shelf up where the printer is so i can put my printer onto it and move my cricut where the printer is to give me more room to work on.When I am crafting I'm not the tidiest person around lol(looks like a bomb has dropped).Most of the storage trays that are on  my shelves came from tesco's including the jars I have my ribbon in.Anyway bye for now will post some more photos of cards that I make in a few days.Thanks for looking.

TE card challenge 91

I made the card following the layout design opposite.This design was featured on the taylored expression site.The red card that is on the design was stamped with a snowflake design using versamark then embossed with clear embossing powder.The black circle is cut out using and inverted circle and a plain circle(nestabilities) and the snowman is cut from the hello kitty cart with the exspression.Thanks for looking.

Altered Tin

The tin was altered last year and I gave it to my-mother-in-law for christmas.I saw the idea in a craft magazine but altered it to my specifications.The outside was covered in various papers which where carried on to the inside.It came with some tab cards to divide sections but there where only about six so I added some more to complete the project.I made it to contain recipe cards(up until then she wrote them in a book)and thought it would be a fun addiction to here kitchen.The stamps around the outside are magnolia's.She was really pleased with the tin and it takes pride of place in her kitchen.Also used the same idea to make one for my sister-in-law and turned here deviders into a monthly calendar so she can write birthdays or anniveraries on.Inside I then added a card to every month.Unfortunatly I don't have a photo to show you as my camera had a funny moment at that time.

BBTB challenge (story book bird)

As the title implies the card has to contain the bird off the storybook cart.The background paper is eskimo kisses(basic grey papers)these christmas papers are out of this world.The joy was cut from the christmas cheer cart and the snowflake charm was one from my stash.Thanks for looking

Cricut cardz challenge #1

This is a new site I found while searching the internet for crafting blogs at the moment there is a few ideas and the first card challenge which is anything goes as long as it's made with the cricut.Here is my card for the challenge. The background was made with the wildcard cart(this appears quite a lot on  my cards as it makes a great statement) and the sillouette was made with the a chil's year cart(new cart only arrived on friday not had chance to play with it properly yet)the sentiment was made with a new way of stamping that marries up with the nestabilities they are called just right stampers they are amazing and so versatile.Thanks for looking.

BBTB challenge

Hi everyone I'm over making books now back to making cards this card was made in responce to the challenge on the bitten by the bug site to make a card about thnkyou. This is my interpritation of it.The base of the card was cut on cricut but could be bought as a tag card.The stamps on them come from a great company called Little claire Designs and they have some amazing things on there site go and take a look.They images where stamped on plain card and coloured in using my promarkers these pens are amazing the results are the best I've seen I prefere them to using my H2os.The images where then cut out and 3d using silicon glue.The sentiment was printed out on my printer and using my cricut I cut it out using the TBAB cart with the centre point on.Sorry for the picture it's not very clear need to practice taking photos LOL.Thankyou for looking and feel free to leave a comment.

Halloween Bags

These bags where made to hand out to the trick ortreaters that come to the door I made 52 of these bags and hoped that they all would go on the night else I might have to eat some that would not be good!!!.I made the tags on the cricut with TBAB and added the spiders and bats that where cut from the PDDU cart they where attached to card bags and tied with orange cord.They where a huge hit and within about 30 mins they had all gone I had to turn kids away and tell them no more treats left.Will have to make more next year.

Boxes

These boxes where made for my daughter to give out after here halloween bash.They where made with TBAB on my cricut and the various decorations where made with the paper doll dres up cart.I filled them with various sweets(hope parents don't come with dentist bill) they where a huge hit kids thought they were great.

Hi sorry but seem to be on a roll with books at the moment once you start you dont seem to beable to stop anyway this book was made when I had to take a day off work to look after my youngest daughter and I spent a full day crafting(normally have to craft between doing other things like housework or taking kids somewhere) what an exstravigance to beable to craft all day hope you like it.I used the design studio with cricut and the words I used the graffically speaking cart, this cart is amazing and a worthwhile investment.

Blackpool

I seem to be in a book making mode at the moment this book was created with the same tecnique as the halloween book using the software and the cricut. We had a trip to blackpool and stayed over night in the travel lodge and took the girls around the Pleasure Beach they went on most of the rides me and hubby just watched(YOU WILL NOT FIND US ON ANY RIDES TOO SCARED ) dont know if you can see in the photo but the title 2009 go for it was spinkled with glitter after using dimentials to give it some bling.

Halloween

I got the original idea for this book of a web site called Bug Junkie she does some amazing things.She put together a video on how to make the book using design studio and the cricut this is my take on it some of the elements I have changed beacuse I do not own the same carts.This is the first book I've made and hope to use the idea to create many more.It was made so I can fill it with photos that will be taken when my youngest daughter has her halloween bash.

New

I please bear with me as I'm new to blogging and might take me a while to get the grasp of it I hope to try and post at least once a week what with children and work I might find this difficult.I have designed this blog to showcase my creations and will tell you when it's not an original, some of the ideas I have scraplifted of other people and turn then around slightly.Hope you have fun looking and please feel free to leave a comment and am greatful for looking at my site.
